The development of new products and the advancement of our current products is a substantial component to KIEFEL’s business philosophy. Through the continuous development of our products, our customers always profit from the most current technology and thus can react faster and better to the demands of the market.
KIEFEL recognizes the importance of the training center in which the newest developments are tested and our customers can experience the developments on their own specific products. A new area was created in Worms, where new and continuous developments of our equipment and their components can be extensively tested. The school provides the ability to create and analyze customer specific recipes and materials in the presence of our customers. To some extend, the technology is sometimes subjected to new requirements, which sets the development of further advancement into action.
Training for everyone’s needs
Today, daily trials take place at our training facility. This training facility makes it possible to apply and test all applications, from mono-layer films to 9-layer films, up to 2200 mm in width, on the fully equipped machines of the newest generation. In addition, there is also available a KIRION® MDO stretching unit (MDO = Machine Direction Orientation), which opens further application areas beyond blown film.
In addition to testing new developments and enhancements, as well as new or modified recipes, our training center also offers our customers the opportunity for production of their customer’s orders. The large size of the training center has proven to be an advantage to our customers for all their projects. It allows a private and confidential environment for trials or production of customer orders.
Analysis lab
Besides the training center, KIEFEL also provides a laboratory, which offers the opportunity for typical mechanical analysis (e.g. stiffness analysis, COF determination, and tear tests) as well as the measurement of optical characteristics (e.g. Gloss, transparency) of the film. The film characteristics can then be determined and ensured during the investigational procedure offering fast feedback on the processing parameters of the blown film equipment.
Please contact our staff to determine how your specific projects can be implemented in our training center, or if you would simply like to receive general information on what the training center offers.
